This is a 1.1m remnant. Merchant & Mills Scuttle Black European Laundered Linen 185gsm is a charcoal, nearly black colour. The 185 dress weight linen is part of Merchant & Mills core linen collection and is their go to linen for all dress making. Midweight linen is my personal favourite weight, its really just so versatile for so many garments.
Given that it's already been washed at the mill, it's incredibly soft from first wear.
This Merchant and Mills fabric is produced in small batches in Eastern Europe where there is a strong heritage of spinning and weaving linen fabric. Made by a mill who uses electricity supplied solely from renewable energy sources and OEKO Tex certified.
